Ok, look. How was I supposed to know that grumpy old man was important? Or that the stupid little trinket I stole would be the reason I finally got caught? I mean, I thought that everything was a joke, that nothing really mattered, you know? I thought, well, I don't know what I thought. The grass was always green and the sky was always blue, it would get chilly during the winter and warmer during the summer and everyone was happy and i would always get what I wanted. So yeah, obviously I wasn't thinking much. But then again, how could i have known that anything could go wrong in paradise? And even then, i thought that nothing bad could really happen, i mean it was like a dream! And plus, i was young, like really young, so of course i could get away with anything, right? Boy was I wrong. Really i was wrong about a lot of things, everyone was, to be honest. Yes they had to work, but on that island everything was magnificent, truly. I mean, like you would think that it was a made up place in some kind of fictional book. But then you would be wrong to. Believe me when i say that the sea around us was crystal clear, and that the beaches were just perfect. The sky was more like a painting of a place one could only dream of and the grass was so green, it looked as if someone had painted it. I can't believe how dumb i was, how stupid stupid stupid. I guess that why i really did need to go, because once i left, i was the only one who knew everything. No, i don't mean I was the smartest mathematician or that I memorized all 6,500 languages. Honestly I didn't even know there was more than one language in the world, i thought that the whole world was our island. Woops! I was wrong once again. But then again, the people i found were just as clueless as i was. They were polluting their own skies and throwing their trash into the sea, killing the very same animals they said they loved. The same animals that they used for food and needed for other reasons. They killed their trees and replaced their green grass with cement. They were so close-minded and selfish, at least that's what I thought. Some of these people, living among the others, were kind and wanted to save our planet. They were honest and trustworthy. And not even these people knew. They were wrong about the biggest thing, in my opinion. Although, my people didn't know that any others executed, the people i found thought magic didn't exist! I guess some people are really just that clueless.
CHAPTER 1: The paradise
The sun shone down on the island on the warm summer day of the festival. People were walking around all over, gathering in the streets and playing music for all to hear. There were a couple posters around the small town advertising a special guest for the show. Because this was such a small village, located on a rather small island completely surrounded by water. There was nothing else in sight, other than the crowds of people, the stage 3 young men were assembling, the loud music, and the colorful streamers and decorations. She recognized the boys, they were some of the fishermen of the island. The boys were well into their late teens and already performing the town's most sacred and dangerous task. Fishing. Everyday they would walk down to the beach, untie their boats, and off they went. Into the sea with no one but each other. They had spent all their life training before they went anywhere near the boats, and had now become the youngest fishermen in history. They were praised by everyone on the island for doing the one thing no one else wanted to even think about. In her small town the sea was a sacred placed which gave them food, but also the most feared thing anyone of them could think of. There was a tale everyone knew about the sea. There was two siblings who loved exploring` the island. The only place they hadn't ever gone was into the water. So, when they saw that their mother had forgotten her lunch, they found a spare boat and untied it. They pushed it into the water and climbed inside. They had seen their mother do it thousands of times before so they were able to jump inside easily. They began to row out to sea, excited about the adventure that lay ahead. They kept rowing, just as they had seen others do, but they were different, they were not in that boat for fishing, they were there for adventure. And so, when the sea sensed this, he began to get angry and created waves to warn them to go back. But they were just children and didn't even think of it. They sea got frustrated and warned them again. And once again they did not listen. And so he became enraged, and the boys were never seen again. She looked back to the boys, and then to the crowd around them. Humans really are stupid. She finally reached the List in the center of town. There was a huge crowd around it today, trying to choose a more unique exciting name for the day.
